Job Title: Multi Skilled Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Multi Skilled Engineer to join our team at Gousto. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing shift-based engineering support and maintenance to ensure the smooth operation of our production lines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the engineering team on shift, managing training programs, timesheets, and time off, while supporting planned preventative maintenance and breakdown support.
  • Utilize the Engineering Activity Planning System within CMMS to manage planned maintenance activities and optimize system availability.
  • Conduct audits to ensure safety standards on all machines and work closely with operational teams to identify and resolve issues.
  • Represent the Engineering function in site team huddles and use RCA methodology to remove repeatable faults, sharing best practices across the network.
  • Manage contractor control on site using PtW and LOTO processes and liaise with suppliers to ensure correct specifications and procure components.
  • Mentor and develop our Engineering Support Operatives.
Requirements:
  • Apprenticeship-trained and electrically qualified (Multi-skilled preferable) or qualified to a minimum of City & Guilds, ONC, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in an Engineering discipline.
  • Experienced in PLC fault finding and working knowledge of H&S standards.
  • Hazard & Risk Assessment qualification, isolation & check for dead, IOSH desirable, understanding of dynamic risk assessment.
  • Understanding of Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and continuous improvement processes.
