Key Responsibilities:


• Lead and oversee a team of social workers and support personnel, ensuring the delivery of outstanding services to looked after children and their families.

• Manage the effective execution of statutory assessments, care planning, and interventions for children in care, focusing on their well-being, growth, and stability.

• Collaborate with both internal and external partners, including foster carers, educational institutions, health professionals, and other organizations, to provide comprehensive support and achieve favorable outcomes for children.

• Ensure adherence to applicable legislation, policies, and procedures, upholding high standards of safeguarding and advocating for the rights and voices of children.

• Provide supervision, mentorship, and support to team members, fostering their professional growth and well-being.

• Monitor and manage budgets, resources, and performance metrics, contributing to strategic planning and service enhancement initiatives.

• Maintain precise and timely case records, reports, and documentation in line with professional standards and statutory obligations.


Essential Qualifications:
• Qualified Social Worker with current registration (SWE) and a recognized professional qualification.
• Extensive experience in a social work capacity, particularly with looked after children and young individuals.
• Proven leadership and management capabilities, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team to provide high-quality services.
• In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures pertaining to looked after children and child protection.
