Uro-oncology Clinical Nurse Specialist Opportunity

We are excited to announce a new opportunity for a Band 6/7 Clinical Nurse Specialist in the uro-oncology team at the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust.

This is a full-time role for 37 hours per week, where you will work alongside a multi-disciplinary team of dedicated and highly skilled healthcare professionals to care for patients and their families, delivering our high service standards, sharing best practice and actively improving the way we work.

The post will be offered either at band 6 or 7 depending on experience. If the successful applicant starts at a band 6, they will be supported to complete the ACCEND capabilities in practice and to work towards a postgraduate qualification in order to progress to band 7 status, providing autonomous nurse-led services alongside the rest of the team.

The CQC recently rated the care provided by the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust as Good.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To work as a skilled practitioner and be responsible for the delivery of patient-focused programmes of care, which address the complex and changing health and well-being needs of the client group in your caseload.
  • To work alongside a multi-disciplinary team of other dedicated and highly skilled healthcare professionals to care for patients and their families.
  • To deliver our high service standards, share best practice and actively improve the way we work.

Requirements:

  • Experience of working in a uro-oncology setting.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
