Position Overview

Role: Cybersecurity Systems Engineer

Salary: Up to £65,000

Location: Stevenage

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Oversight: Manage initiatives involving cross-functional engineering teams to create and implement a comprehensive technical security framework within established budgetary and timeline constraints.
  • Trade-space Optimization: Enhance protective measures throughout the product lifecycle without compromising safety or marketability.
  • Security Documentation: Develop and sustain a comprehensive security case, working closely with clients and their technical representatives to ensure compliance with requirements.
  • Systems Design and Guidance: Engage in a variety of systems design and technical leadership activities, ensuring cohesive integration across hardware, software, and firmware sectors to validate the effectiveness of security solutions.
  • Collaboration with Production and Support Teams: Partner with manufacturing and support divisions to maintain the confidentiality and integrity of the systems throughout production and various support scenarios.

Candidate Profile:

  • Expertise in Defense Systems: Profound understanding of missile and weapon system design, with the capability to navigate and manage the associated trade-space.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities to effectively engage with diverse engineering teams, technical specialists, senior leadership, and clients.
  • Engineering Proficiency: A solid engineering foundation, ideally in systems engineering, electronic design, embedded software, or firmware.
