Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate brake press efficiently to bend and form sheet metal components.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings to ensure accurate production.
  • Utilize metalworking skills to work with various materials, including steel and aluminum.
  • Adjust tooling and settings regularly based on job requirements to maintain high-quality production.
  • Demonstrate initiative in problem-solving and decision-making to optimize production efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the team to achieve production goals and maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a brake press setter/operator in a manufacturing environment.
  • Background in metalworking, with a strong understanding of metal properties and behavior.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, including blueprints and technical specifications.
  • Strong initiative and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with colleagues and management.
Benefits:
  • Competitive hourly rate: £15ph - £16.50ph.
  • Monday-Friday schedule: 14:00pm-22:00pm.
  • 21 days of annual leave, plus bank holidays.
