We are seeking a seasoned Mergers and Acquisitions Manager to join our team at Spark Search. As a key member of our London-based M&A team, you will play a crucial role in advising entrepreneurs, corporates, management teams, and private equity firms on strategic transactions.


The team works across various sectors, including healthcare, life sciences, consumer goods, and real estate, advising on transactions ranging from £25m to £1bn on both the buy-side and sell-side.


With a strong pipeline and ambitious growth plans, we are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Mergers and Acquisitions Manager to support our team in managing transactions from origination to completion.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Supporting the Partner and Directors in managing the transaction, including financial modelling, structuring, and analysis.
  • Financial modelling for transactions, including valuation techniques such as trading multiples, LBO, and DCF modelling.
  • Research and analysis of market and business value drivers.
  • Profiling potential acquisition targets and buyers, presenting strategic rationale.
  • Crafting pitch documentation and client reports.
  • Supervising and mentoring junior team members.
  • Building a network of professional relationships with intermediaries, private equity firms, and clients.


To be considered for this role, you must have:


  • A qualified accountant (or equivalent) with at least 3 years' post-qualification experience in M&A.
  • A strong grasp of either healthcare, life sciences, consumer goods, or real estate, or a demonstrable passion for these sectors.
  • The ability to quickly pick up technical concepts and information.
  • The ability to build rapport and develop relationships with clients, individuals, and organizations.
