HGV TECHNICIAN - Night Shift

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Previous experience as an HGV Technician or Mechanic in related fields such as Commercial Vehicles, LGV, PSV, Heavy Plant, or Automotive sectors.
  • Possession of a qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair is preferred.
  • Time-served HGV Technicians are encouraged to apply.
  • Capability to engage in breakdown assistance.
  • Proficient in completing necessary paperwork, including job cards and service records.
  • Basic computer skills are beneficial.
  • A valid UK driving license is required.

Key Responsibilities:

The HGV Technician will be responsible for:

  • Servicing and maintaining a diverse range of trucks and vehicles.
  • Conducting fault diagnostics.
  • Preparing vehicles for MOT.
  • Performing mechanical and electrical repairs.
  • Ensuring all repairs comply with manufacturer procedures and safety standards.
  • Conducting road tests when necessary, in accordance with license restrictions.
  • Participating in any available technical or development training.

Working Hours:

Monday to Thursday: 21:30 - 06:00, Friday: 18:00 - 01:30
