Job Summary: We are seeking a Prison Facilitator to lead the delivery and development of our prison-based reading and numeracy programme at HMP Maidstone.

About the Role: As a Prison Facilitator, you will work closely with the prison and their staff, people in prison, Shannon Trust volunteers and mentors to maximise opportunities for people in prison to learn to read.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver peer-led learning programmes in a prison setting
  • Build relationships with prison staff, volunteers, and mentors to support programme delivery
  • Monitor and evaluate programme effectiveness to inform future development
  • Collaborate with the prison and Shannon Trust to ensure programme alignment with organisational goals

Requirements: Ideally, you will have experience of prison settings and possess personal qualities such as resilience, determination, and a problem-solving approach.
