We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Optical Manager to join our team at Asda Stores Ltd. As a key member of our optical department, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations, managing a team of optometrists and optical assistants, and ensuring the highest level of customer service and patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and lead a team of optometrists and optical assistants to deliver high-quality patient service and achieve department targets.
- Oversee compliance processes and procedures, including managing the shop floor and clinic operations.
- Review sales forecasting and department targets, and develop strategies to achieve them.
- Coach and develop team members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to deliver excellent patient care.
- Work closely with an optometrist to develop and implement clinical strategies and ensure the department is well-equipped to meet customer needs.
- Fully qualified dispensing optician registered with the General Optical Council (GOC).
- On track to meet the statutory points requirement for Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
- Proven leadership skills in a fast-paced optics environment.
- Excellent customer and patient care skills.
- Driven and ambitious to ensure the department meets its targets.
