About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Strategist to join our team at Ultra. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a critical role in supporting the financial management of projects and ensuring maximized returns.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the finance team in the financial management of projects, ensuring accurate financial planning and forecasting.
  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure financial performance and control, supporting the finance and business transformation strategy.
  • Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, and reports to inform business decisions.
  • Work closely with the financial controller to ensure project finance is managed effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, controls, and governance, and resolve audit issues in a timely manner.
  • Proactively challenge financial data and assumptions to ensure accuracy and validity.
  • Identify and support improvements in financial systems, including IFS ERP.
  • Support the month-end close process and ensure financial reporting is accurate and timely.

Requirements:

  • Recognized professional accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA).
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent.
  • Technical competence in financial management, including foreign exchange, controls, and governance.
  • Experience in project accounting, forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
  • IT literacy, including Microsoft and finance management systems.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage a varying workload.
  • Ability to work as part of a multi-function team.
