Year 6 Teaching Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Year 6 Teaching Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to gain valuable experience in a primary school setting.

About the Role

As a Year 6 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to support the learning and development of a Year 6 class. Your role will involve assisting with lesson planning, delivering interventions, and providing support to students who require additional help.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering lessons
  • Provide support to students who require additional help
  • Deliver interventions to support student learning
  • Work closely with the class teacher to monitor student progress
Person Specification

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about education and has a strong desire to support the learning and development of students. The ideal candidate will have a minimum 2.1 degree from a reputable UK university and strong A-Levels and GCSEs. Prior experience working with young people is not essential but would be beneficial.
