Job Summary

Mansell Recruitment Group Plc is seeking a skilled PCB Design Engineer to join our team. As a PCB Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing PCB layouts, electrical schematics, and electrical diagrams. You will also assist in mechanical design and support Manufacturing Engineering.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design PCB layouts for high voltage power supplies and control electronics.
  • Enter schematics from design engineering sketches.
  • Create and modify 3D models and assemblies, including piece part information.
  • Generate and maintain part information and bills of materials.
  • Maintain the PCB library.
  • Maintain the DCC drawing system.
  • Produce system schematics, wiring diagrams, and schedules.
  • Ensure adherence to the Company's ISO 9001 Quality, ISO14001 Environmental, and Health and Safety management systems.
  • Stay informed and support IS09001 Quality and IS014001 Environmental requirements and improvement activities.
  • Contribute to achieving the Company's business, Quality, and Environmental objectives and policies.
  • Provide reliable and quantifiable estimated labor times for assembling new products.
  • Contribute to specifying process consumables used throughout the company.
  • Implement effective configuration and data management processes.
  • Specify and procure necessary tooling requirements.
  • Offer support to production staff as needed.
  • Identify and eliminate waste in all engineering processes.

Requirements:

HNC or equivalent in a relevant discipline.

Proven expertise and experience in PCB design (preferably to IPC Standard) and mechanical design with knowledge of analogue, digital, and surface mount technologies.

Computer literate and knowledge of MS Office.

Proficiency in CAD packages for PCB and mechanical design (experience in Cadstar, eCadstar, Board Modeller, Inventor, and AutoCAD are a distinct advantage).
