Job Title: Site Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Engineer to join our team at Joseph Gallagher Limited. As a Site Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of our civil engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Setting out detailed works as per contract drawings, ensuring regular checks are carried out
  • Verifying plans, drawings, and quantities for accuracy
  • Ensuring quality control requirements are met and recorded in accordance with client specifications
  • Providing engineering support to overcome technical problems
  • Conducting pre-start site surveys
  • Ensuring timely handover of works and quality records without outstanding defects, working closely with the Project Manager and installation teams
  • Operating and promoting a high standard of Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance
  • Site calibration checks
  • Assisting in resolving unexpected technical difficulties and other problems

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working on civils projects
  • Proven track record of setting out on civil engineering projects
  • Sound knowledge of construction methods, Health & Safety, and legal regulations
  • Valid CSCS card
  • Flexibility to travel nationwide
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with site-based teams and clients
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Proven troubleshooting skills
