About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Project/Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team at GRAHAM Group. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for managing all commercial activities on a project from procurement to final account settlement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Liaise with estimators to establish project cost allowances and set up site activity cost codes.
  • Measure and value subcontract and labour work, record subcontract contra charges, and register subcontract payments.
  • Prepare and issue subcontract documentation, including letters of award and health and safety packs.
  • Prepare and submit interim valuations, variations, and compensation events as required.
  • Ensure accurate records of variations and compensation events, and prepare materials on site reconciliations.
  • Project quantities to complete in the bill of quantities and activity schedule.
  • Ensure sites complete weekly goods received notes and labour allocation sheets, and ensure these are activity coded.
  • Collate and value weekly labour allocation sheets using agreed rates, and review plant records with the site agent.
  • Prepare monthly subcontract liabilities and accruals, and ensure timely completion of the monthly contract cost report.
  • Establish and report on forecast final costs and forecast final recovery for each site under your commercial control.
  • Prepare and issue subcontract enquiries, analyse returned subcontract quotes, and explore opportunities for value engineering.
  • Negotiate and agree rates with labour-only subcontractors, and review recovery against labour-only work.
  • Attend meetings with the site agent, contracts director, and contracts manager as required.

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Project/Senior Quantity Surveyor who can demonstrate a strong track record in commercial management. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work effectively in a team environment.
