Elevation Recruitment Group is currently working with Severfield, a leading specialist structural steelwork company in the UK, to fill the position of a Senior Quantity Surveyor.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing team in the company's Nuclear and Infrastructure division, working for a business that prides itself on quality and innovation, with unparalleled expertise in critical infrastructure projects.

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be working on high-value and critical projects, building relationships with a range of high-profile clients in the defence, nuclear, oil & gas, and petrochemical sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the successful commercial outcome of key nuclear and defence projects
  • Commercial responsibility from contract award through to completion and final account
  • Manage variations and changes with customers
  • Work as part of an experienced commercial team
  • Develop key relationships with a range of clients, suppliers, and subcontractors
  • Work closely with internal departments to ensure successful, profitable outcomes
Requirements
  • Previous experience working as a QS or Senior QS
  • Construction industry experience in a commercial role
  • Strong experience of NEC3 or NEC4 contracts
  • Good communication skills with the ability to influence
  • An understanding of fabrication processes is desirable
  • Experience of managing and delivering variations whilst retaining repeat business
