Primary Purpose of the Role:
  • Experienced Oracle implementation consultant with a background in upgrading EBS R12.1 to R12.2.7.
  • Possessing one or more of the following skills:
  • Supply Chain modules such as Discrete Manufacturing, Process Manufacturing, Engineering, Inventory, Bill of Materials, Quality, Order Management, and Purchasing.
  • Project management skills including Contracts, Billing, and Costing.
  • Customer Service expertise in areas like Depot Repair, Service Contracts, and Installed Base.
  • Familiarity with additional modules such as Depot Repair, iSupplier, and Mobile is advantageous.

The role necessitates experience and proficiency in standard lifecycle activities, including requirements mapping, gap analysis, conference room pilots, user acceptance testing, and all other disciplines essential for successful implementation. Additionally, the position encompasses various aspects of functional consulting, including bespoke projects, customizations, upgrades, and providing system and business process advice and guidance.

Principal Relationships:
  • Business Users and key process owners (Application Management Support Team)
  • ERP Application Vendors and Third-Party Support Management
  • Group IS (especially the ERP and PLM systems Teams and Enterprise Architecture)

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver ERP services through:
  • Provision of Functional Consulting Services for ERP Systems and Group/Business Applications.
  • Gathering, documenting, and managing business requirements and process flow charts.
  • Providing hands-on analysis, design, testing, training, implementation, and support utilizing prescribed software design lifecycle techniques and system documentation methods.
  • Assisting in defining and optimizing effective business processes and driving organizational change through negotiation and consensus-building.
  • Ensuring ERP initiatives adhere to proper planning, scheduling, and management processes.
  • Managing timely project delivery and business expectations while ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Assisting with risk management and change management on projects.
  • Collaborating closely with the business community, participating in user and task analysis to maintain the business perspective, which may include coaching and mentoring through workshops and transition support activities.
  • Preparing and supporting the creation of Functional Design documents for custom development.
  • Facilitating the transition of solution requirements to the third-party development team to ensure a clear understanding of the requirements.
  • Assisting in translating requirements into test conditions and expected results for Functional, System Verification, and User Acceptance Testing.
  • Participating in quality management reviews to ensure designs and other requirements work products meet the necessary standards.
  • Building and maintaining client relationships both internally and externally.

Skills Required:
Essential:
  • ERP Solution expert with a minimum of five years of ERP implementation experience.
  • Functional Skills: ERP modules/functionality relevant to the domain, including Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Procurement, Projects, Repair/Service, and Finance.
  • Broad IT Knowledge, particularly on large ERP systems.
  • Experience with design to implementation methodologies gained through ERP projects.
  • Technical IT skills, including security, transaction processing, and data management.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Team collaboration and management of delivery/support teams.
  • Logical analysis and business awareness.
  • Proficiency in IT development skills and office technologies.

Desirable:
  • Understanding of project management processes.
  • Empathy with business change impacts of information systems changes.
