We are seeking a skilled Site Engineer to join our team at Octavius Infrastructure. As a Site Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain survey control for the works, liaising with the Survey team and setting out detailed works as per the contract drawings.
  • Assist the site management team in managing sections of the work and specific sub-contract packages.
  • Liaise with the client representative and designers over design issues and changes.
  • Take responsibility for checking and keeping records of delivered materials, ensuring all materials used on site are in line with the specification.
  • Carry out checks on the sub-contractor's setting out and quality in accordance with the inspection and test plan.
  • Establish records of calibration documents and check registers for all instruments on site, including subcontractor's instruments.
  • Carry out surveys of completed works to record as-built conditions.
  • Assist in drafting method statements, task briefings, and inspection and test plans.
Requirements
  • HNC/Degree in Construction/Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience of setting out on civil engineering projects and management of daily activities.
  • CSCS Card.
  • Cable avoidance training (desirable).
  • First Aid Training.
  • IOSH / SSSTS training.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with delivery team and client.
