We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Integrated Shift Engineer to join our team in Ferrybridge, West Yorkshire. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our manufacturing processes.
Your Responsibilities:- Contribute to the development and implementation of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) strategies across all equipment on site, including establishing robust Safe Systems of Work (SSOW) and Standard Maintenance Procedures (SMP).
- Actively participate in reliability improvement initiatives, focusing on reducing equipment failures and minimizing downtime.
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) investigations using methodologies such as 8D, 7-Step Chronic Problem Solving, EWOs, 5why, and 5G to identify and address underlying issues.
- Support cost optimization projects by contributing your engineering expertise and identifying cost-effective solutions.
- Collaborate with project teams on capital expenditure (Capex) initiatives aimed at enhancing production assets and improving overall efficiency.
- Maintain accurate and timely records, including shift reports and updates to department information boards, ensuring clear communication of operational status.
- Foster strong working relationships with team members through effective communication using various platforms, such as Microsoft Teams.
- Operate within a dual role system, ensuring prompt response to all plant breakdowns and maintaining world-class maintenance standards at all times.
- Hold an NVQ Level 3 in an engineering discipline or possess equivalent experience gained through a reliability and maintenance time-served apprenticeship.
- Demonstrate proven experience in both electrical and mechanical maintenance within an industrial setting.
- Possess a strong understanding of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), with preference given to Siemens S7 systems.
- Exhibit a comprehensive knowledge of mechanical systems and their operation.
- Have hands-on experience with Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and proactive maintenance strategies.
- Ideally, possess Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) certification.
- Demonstrate the ability to diagnose issues effectively and identify root causes.
- Exhibit a proactive approach to problem-solving and implement solutions efficiently.
- Maintain a strong work ethic with a unwavering commitment to health and safety standards.
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration within a team environment.
