Senior Planning Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Planning Officer to join our client's Strategic Planning team in the South West.

The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and reviewing Strategic and Local plans, policies, and programmes, as well as working on projects related to neighbourhood planning, infrastructure planning, and specialist policy projects around renewable energy and sustainability.

Our ideal candidate will have a solid working knowledge of UK planning regulations and a well-rounded knowledge of planning policy frameworks and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and review Strategic and Local plans, policies, and programmes
  • Work on projects related to neighbourhood planning, infrastructure planning, and specialist policy projects
  • Collaborate with the Strategic Planning team to achieve project goals

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of UK planning regulations and planning policy frameworks
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
