We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Teaching Assistant to join our team at EdEx – Education Recruitment. As a Teaching Assistant - Art and Design Educator, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of students in a dynamic and holistic school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the class teacher in delivering lessons and activities that promote creativity and artistic expression
- Work with students to develop their artistic skills and confidence in a variety of mediums
- Assist with the planning and preparation of art and design lessons, including sourcing materials and equipment
- Provide individualized support to students with speech and language difficulties, using art and music as a tool for communication
- Contribute to the maintenance of a positive and inclusive classroom environment, working closely with the class teacher to manage behavior and promote social skills
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training to enhance your skills and knowledge in art and design education
Requirements:
- 1st Class or 2:1 degree in Art or a related field
- Strong academic record and a passion for art and design education
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and other staff members
- Ability to think creatively and develop innovative approaches to teaching and learning
- Desire to work in a dynamic and supportive team environment
