About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Lego Coding Instructor to join our team at Ignite Hubs. As a Coding Educator, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and educational Lego coding sessions to children and young people.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct interactive and engaging coding sessions using Lego Spike Essential and Spike Prime kits.
  • Utilize blocked-based coding and Python programming to teach coding concepts.
  • Contribute to the development of the curriculum, including sourcing materials and equipment.
  • Prepare the classroom and equipment before the class and manage the pack-up and debriefing session afterwards.
  • Possibility to work additional hours by supporting other classes, creating resources, projects and content for our Online Learning Platform.
Requirements
  • Passionate about using Lego to teach coding concepts.
  • Experience with Lego and proficiency in blocked-based coding and Python programming.
  • Willingness to travel to multiple library locations is desirable.
  • Experience working with children and/or young people in a formal or informal community setting (desirable).
  • Self-motivated, organised and proactive.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Capable of engaging and inspiring students of all ages.
