Cpl Life Sciences is seeking an experienced Data Centre Electrical Engineer to join our team in the Greater London Area. As a key member of our Data Centre Engineering Operations (DCEO) team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our data centre facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment are maintained to the highest standards and operate effectively.
  • Assist in the design and build of new data halls and data centres.
  • On-site management of sub-contractors and vendors, ensuring all work performed is in accordance with safety practices.
  • Review vendor RAMS and MOPs to ensure adherence to safety protocols.
  • Operate and manage routine and emergency services on critical systems such as switchgear, generators, UPS systems, and power distribution equipment.
  • Identify and execute opportunities to improve energy efficiency in the data centre.
  • Project manage operational aspects of the data centre, including asset and inventory management.
  • Work 12-hour rotating day/night shifts and flexibility to travel between sites.
Requirements:
  • 4+ years of work experience in a critical operations environment.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Good understanding of data centre critical infrastructure.
  • 6+ years of data centre engineering/operations experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or mechanical engineering.
  • Fundamental knowledge of network design and layout, as well as low-voltage cabling.
