Job Overview:


Perform a variety of landscape maintenance and horticultural tasks in accordance with established procedures and regulations.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support the management team in delivering a high-quality, cost-effective landscaping service.

Assist with various tasks as directed, including but not limited to:


  • Landscape upkeep activities
  • Tree care responsibilities
  • Softscape installation
  • Hardscape construction
  • Weed management
  • Vehicle safety inspections
  • Equipment servicing
  • Driving duties

  • Collaborate with the management team to ensure all tasks are executed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards.

  • Ensure all relevant documentation related to tasks is completed and submitted to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Engage in performance monitoring to demonstrate the value of services provided.
  • Foster a customer-oriented approach, promoting the organization by building and maintaining relationships.
  • Adhere to safety policies and procedures, particularly those related to health and safety regulations.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in landscape maintenance.

Experience in:
  • Meeting tight deadlines
  • Working in challenging environments
  • Operating various vehicles
  • Utilizing a range of mechanical and specialized tools
  • Collaborating within a team

Knowledge of:
  • Health and safety legislation
  • Manual handling techniques

  • Ability to access all areas of the work environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

A valid UK driving license and experience in a hands-on role are advantageous.


Work Environment:
  • Report directly to the supervisory team, receiving guidance as needed while working with minimal supervision.
  • This position may involve interchangeability with other roles within the organization.
  • Regular training will be provided to enhance skills and adapt to new technologies and equipment.

  • Possession of a valid UK driving license is preferred, as driving university vehicles may be required.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor while fulfilling duties and adhering to directives from management.

  • This role involves both outdoor and indoor tasks, requiring visits to various locations.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, with a total of 35 hours per week, including breaks.


Compensation is set at £12 per hour, with additional benefits including paid holidays and bank holidays.
