Job Title: Specification Sales Engineer - Lighting

Area to be covered: London and surrounding areas

Remuneration: £40,000-£65,000 + £5,000-£15,000 Bonus (1% of sales)

Role Overview:

  1. Field sales role, promoting a range of architectural indoor and outdoor lighting solutions.
  2. Specification sales led role, winning projects and influencing within electrical contractors, architects, consulting engineers, A&D, lighting designers, M&E consultants, interior designers, and landscape designers.
  3. Working within a London-based team of sales professionals.
  4. Following up on leads via industry databases as well as managing projects.
  5. Inheriting a portfolio of clients with a view to focusing on key accounts.
  6. Project sizes up to £1m.
  7. Nominal £500,000 target year one (whilst building up pipeline) on invoiced sales.
  8. 95% specification sales role targeting architects, consultants, M&E consultants, consulting engineers, and lighting designers.
  9. Managing a CRM database of contacts but most business/projects will be new.
  10. Targeting high-end commercial projects and retail developments.

Ideal Applicant:

  1. Experience as a Lighting Specification Sales Engineer or in electrical specification sales.
  2. Technical knowledge of lighting solutions.
  3. Contacts within interior designers, electrical contractors, and M&E consultants may be advantageous.
  4. Daily access to London.
  5. Proactive approach.
  6. Hardworking, tenacious with good business acumen.
