About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced MET Technician to join our team at Steer Automotive Group. As an MET Technician, you will be responsible for repairing vehicles to the highest standards, working in a fast-paced environment and using your technical expertise and attention to detail to ensure our customers receive top-notch service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carrying out all necessary mechanical and bodywork on allocated jobs.
- Performing repairs and maintenance tasks on vehicles, including mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
- Dismantling vehicles ready for the panel shop and reassembling to pre-accident condition.
- Using diagnostic equipment and tools to accurately diagnose and repair problems.
- Adhering to safety protocols and regulations at all times.
- Keeping accurate records of work performed and parts used.
- Supporting the training and development of the team.
About You
You will have strong knowledge and experience as an MET Technician or mechanic from an accident repair background, with high attention to detail and the ability to work skilfully and safely under pressure. You must be able to plan your workload effectively, carry out work in accordance with manufacturers' specifications, work as part of a team, and be flexible in your approach.
