Role: Individual Support Assistant for Special Educational Needs

Employment Type: Full-time

Salary: £83 per day

About the Role

We are collaborating with a reputable primary educational institution to find a dedicated Individual Support Assistant to provide tailored support to a student in Year 2 with special educational needs.

This position is a full-time opportunity with the potential for a permanent contract for the right individual.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support a pupil on a 1:1 basis, fostering a positive learning environment.
  • Utilize effective strategies to assist students with special educational needs or challenging behaviors.
  • Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Candidate Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Experience working with children with special educational needs, particularly those with ASD, speech and language difficulties, or behavioral challenges.
  • Previous experience in a similar role, such as a Learning Support Assistant or SEN Teaching Assistant.
  • A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Teaching Assistance is preferred but not mandatory.
  • A willingness to obtain an enhanced DBS check on the update service.
