About the Role
As a Functional Skills Maths Tutor, you'll play a vital role in guiding individuals within a correctional setting towards academic success and personal growth. You'll be responsible for delivering engaging and effective maths instruction up to Level 2, fostering a positive learning environment that empowers learners to reach their full potential.
Your Responsibilities
- Develop and implement tailored training plans to meet the individual needs of each learner.
- Deliver high-quality maths instruction, utilizing a variety of teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles.
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to learners, helping them overcome challenges and achieve their goals.
- Assess learner progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to facilitate continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
What We're Looking For
- A strong foundation in mathematics, holding at least a Level 3 qualification or equivalent.
- Proven experience in delivering training and instruction, ideally within an educational setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with learners from diverse backgrounds.
