Clinical Lead in Adult Community Mental Health

This is a substantive post in community adult psychiatry based in Peterborough with the Peterborough Adult Locality team (PALT) and the primary care mental health service (PCMH). The post holder will be supported by existing senior substantive consultants within the team and will have the opportunity to work closely with a small team of senior clinicians.
Main DutiesTo provide clinical expertise and leadership to Peterborough Adult Community Mental Health services, integrating mental health care across primary, secondary, and tertiary sector care systems.
The post holder will be responsible for working with other PALT consultant psychiatrists, each with responsibility for a geographical patch covering approximately 10 GP practices. The team will provide assessment and treatment for all patients in the area, working closely with a small team of senior clinicians who will manage the flow of patients from practices between primary and secondary care.
