Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Technical Underwriting to join our team at Stride Resource Management Ltd.

About the Role

As our Head of Technical Underwriting, you will play a crucial role in shaping the underwriting strategy for our company. You will lead and develop a high-performing underwriting team to ensure the highest standards of underwriting excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement underwriting strategies to drive business growth and profitability.
  • Lead and manage a team of underwriters to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with insurance partners to maximize product and scheme propositions.
  • Pitch products and propositions to insurers and trade bodies to secure new capacity and income streams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and effective communication.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in underwriting, preferably in a senior leadership role.
  • Strong technical knowledge of underwriting principles and practices.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
