Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the preparation and serving of meals to students, ensuring high-quality food safety and hygiene standards are maintained.
  • Manage a team of kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient and effective kitchen operations.
  • Develop and implement menus that cater to the diverse needs of students, including dietary restrictions and preferences.
  • Conduct regular stock takes and ordering of products to ensure efficient inventory management.
  • Collaborate with the Area Manager to ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a school or educational setting.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with the capacity to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations, and the ability to implement and maintain strict standards.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
