Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Infrastructure Deployment Manager to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our Network Infrastructure & Deployment (NIDD) management team, you will be responsible for creating sustainable processes and standards, driving automation opportunities, and reducing delivery cycle times while improving quality without impacting network availability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and develop teams of technicians and engineers, providing technical and leadership expertise to ensure high levels of performance.
  • Deliver capacity to existing Data Centres.
  • Help build and bring online new Data Centres.
  • Continuously improve all processes and procedures to drive excellence.
  • Assist and manage relationships with external vendors and contractors.
  • Liaise with internal teams and management groups.
  • Ensure adherence to and exceed local Health & Safety standards in all Data Centres.
  • Create and maintain metrics on all aspects of Data Centres and utilize those metrics to drive positive changes.
  • Assist in implementing service methodologies, including incident management, problem management, change management, capacity management, etc.
Requirements

An engineering degree or equivalent with 5+ years of relevant engineering or manufacturing operations experience, of which 3+ years in a people management experience, building and managing technical teams.

Incident and vendor management experience with security and health & safety awareness.

Proven ability in driving and managing metrics/KPIs with a high degree of organization and detail-orientation.

Sound knowledge of Microsoft Suite (MS Words, Excel, Project Visio, and PowerPoint).

Network build planning and budgetary experience.

Proven track record of success in delivering complex projects.

Ability to translate client requirements into technical specifications.

Familiarity with Data Centre server rack and network infrastructure.
