Join Our Team as a Prospect Research Officer

Mencap is seeking a skilled Prospect Research Officer to support their philanthropy team in raising vital funds from trusts and major donors. As a key member of the High Value Relationships Team, you will play a crucial role in developing and embedding Mencap's prospect research strategy to ensure a steady flow of prospects into the High Value pipeline.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct research to identify new major donors, trusts, and influencers
  • Manage a small portfolio of prospects and develop relationships with key stakeholders
  • Collaborate with the philanthropy team to cultivate and solicit gifts
Requirements:
  • Demonstrable experience in research and a clear understanding of how prospect research drives fundraising
  • Strong written skills to write compelling funding applications and proposals
  • Proven experience with data management and strong IT skills

Salary: £31,688
Contract: Permanent, full-time
Location: Remote, with occasional travel to London office
Deadline: Rolling
