About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Ecologist to join our team as a Consultant Ecologist. As a key member of our consultancy, you will be responsible for delivering protected species and Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) consultancy to clients through a range of surveys, assessments, and advice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver protected species and BNG consultancy to clients
  • Conduct surveys, assessments, and provide advice on ecological matters
  • Work closely with clients to understand their development ambitions and balance these with the protection of natural capital
  • Collaborate with colleagues to deliver high-quality projects and services

About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Ecologist with a strong background in protected species consultancy and BNG. The ideal candidate will have:

  • At least 2+ years UK ecology consultancy experience, undertaking a full range of protected species surveys, ecological assessments, and PEAs
  • Confidence using UKHabs
  • High energy, enthusiasm, organisational skills, and attention to detail with an eagerness to learn
  • Full UK driving licence

Any protected species licences (or working towards) would be highly desirable and achieve higher pay rates, as would experience with QGIS and BNG assessments - though full training will be given.
