Technical Operations Manager

About the Role
The Systems Support Engineer at boxxe plays a vital part in the Secure Services Team, responsible for managing and providing support across various technologies such as public and private clouds, networking, and systems infrastructure. This role involves delivering top-tier proactive and reactive support to managed service customers, configuring and maintaining systems, mentoring less experienced engineers, and ensuring high availability of infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain computer networks, systems software, applications, and hardware configurations across diverse customer environments.
- Execute disaster recovery operations and data backups as needed.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with hardware, software, and network systems.
- Monitor system performance proactively, making adjustments to optimize efficiency.
- Manage system and infrastructure monitoring for customers, ensuring high availability.
- Develop and update user guides and knowledge-based articles to enhance system efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
Requirements
- Proven working experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Windows and Linux based environments.
- Experience with monitoring systems (e.g., Nagios, SolarWinds).
- Good networking knowledge and experience of OSI (Open Systems Interconnection) network layers, TCP/IP.
- Experience of typical enterprise level hardware vendor solutions (e.g., Compute, Storage, LAN, WLAN, EUC).
- Experience of producing quality support documentation.
- Desirable vendors certifications include: CCNA, MCSA, VCP or similar.
