About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Operations Director to join our team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for leading a small team of engineers, accountants, sales staff, and assembly staff.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Lead a team of approximately 20 employees
  • Coordinate daily production schedules with the management team
  • Assist with the ownership change and relocation into smaller premises
  • Manage all staff relations, supported by external help
  • Write tenders and proposals, and cost them
  • Liaise with our agent in China and other key suppliers
  • Complete site surveys, pole structural testing, and reports
  • Attend occasional customer site visits
  • Liaise with our external accountant and lawyers
  • Maintain HEA and ISO9001 registrations and Black Country Chamber memberships
  • Input to monthly Bank of England MPC surveys
Requirements

**Essential:**

  • Extensive background in electrical/electronics manufacturing
  • Leadership skills to take over the company as Manager
  • Qualifications in electrical/electronic engineering (HNC upwards)
  • Desire for personal growth and success
  • Experience in managing a broad range of products, markets, and customers
  • Able to get on with and manage people, customers, staff, and contractors
  • Able to guide staff technically
  • Hold a UK driving license with access to your own vehicle

**Desirable:**

  • Possess the ability to look for further opportunities to drive the business forward
  • Experience working to tight deadlines and seasonal projects
  • Good head for figures and financially aware
  • Be IT familiar
What We Offer

**Salary:** £45-50K depending on experience

**Hours:** Monday to Thursday 8am-5pm and Friday 8am-1pm
