Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician with an electrical bias to join our dedicated Maintenance team at our headquarters. This role offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience, which will be discussed during the interview process.

Job Purpose

As an Electrical biased technician with Mechanical skills, you will play a vital role in maintaining and repairing production equipment, building infrastructure, and site services across our facility. Reporting to the Maintenance Lead, you will work collaboratively within a multi-skilled team, executing both planned and reactive maintenance tasks during scheduled shutdowns and regular operations.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to effectively repair production machinery, equipment, building infrastructure, and site utilities.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults on plant and equipment.
  • Install new equipment or modify existing systems.
  • Conduct planned inspections of process plants and implement proactive maintenance strategies.
  • Accurately document all maintenance activities within the Computer Maintenance Management System (Agility).
  • Adhere to strict safety protocols, including lockout procedures, in compliance with company and British safety standards.

Skills, Knowledge & Competencies:

  • Comprehensive technical expertise in PLCs, motor control circuits, and safety systems, gained through practical industry experience.
  • Understanding of hazards and controls associated with machinery and industrial environments, particularly CNCs, lathes, and machining equipment.
  • ONC/HNC in Electrical Engineering, supported by a recognized apprenticeship program.
  • IEE Regs qualification.
  • Proven ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical faults effectively.
  • A demonstrated track record of successful technical problem-solving, fault diagnosis, maintenance execution, and continuous improvement processes.
  • Experience working seamlessly within an operational team comprising diverse disciplines and skill sets.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently, balancing urgent and important responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated practical hands-on skills and proficiency in various maintenance activities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Competence in writing risk assessments and method statements.
