Job Title: Curriculum Support and Central Resources Administrator

About the Role:

Ricards Lodge High School is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to fill the position of Curriculum Support and Central Resources Administrator. This role will play a crucial part in supporting the subject teams in preparing resources for their teaching groups, arranging trips and visits, and providing administrative support to the Heads of Subject.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Trips and Visits Administration: Responsible for the administration and bookings of all trips and visits, including transport arrangements where necessary.
  2. Reprographics Support: Liaising with the reprographics company to report issues or faults and ensuring sufficient levels of toner are available.
  3. Engineer Management: Managing engineers when they are on site.
  4. Resource Provision: Providing bulk photocopying and specialist printing for staff as required.
  5. Teaching Material Preparation: Supporting the preparation of teaching materials for lessons, including photocopying, creating booklets, posters, flashcards, displays, etc., as requested.
  6. System Administration: Administering the system for staff requests to ensure clear communication and timely production of staff resources materials.
  7. Stock Management: Ordering stock and managing stock levels, tracking, and recording.
  8. Budget Administration: Administering the budget and costs centers associated with the role.
  9. Display and Resource Management: Assisting with classroom and corridor displays and maintaining a well-resourced and tidy central resources room for teachers to use.
  10. Waste Reduction and Recycling: Planning waste reduction and recycling actions relating to photocopying.
  11. Training and Development: Attending directed training and following school policies.
  12. Administrative Support: Assisting in any administration tasks as directed by the Headteacher.
  13. Student Supervision: Undertaking student supervision duties as directed by the Headteacher.
  14. Cover and Support: Covering for support staff when necessary and undertaking any other duties to ensure an efficient and calm running of the school as directed by the Headteacher.

Person Specification:

  1. ICT Literacy: ICT literate and experienced in using Google Platforms.
  2. Reliability and Conscientiousness: Reliable and conscientious with a 'can-do' attitude.
  3. Time Management and Prioritization: Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
  4. Teamwork and Communication: Strong team player with the ability to develop and maintain good relationships with students and staff.
  5. Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: Ability to work independently, make decisions when necessary, and manage confidential matters professionally and with discretion.
  6. Problem-Solving and Mechanical Faults: Some experience of, or willingness to learn, problem-solving mechanical faults.
  7. Parent Communication and Customer Service: Experience of parent communication platforms such as 'Reach more parents', Parent Pay, or Squid, and customer service.
  8. Experience in Education: Experience of working in a school or educational environment.
  9. Google Platforms and Print/Reprographics: Experience of Google platforms and working in a print/reprographics room.
  10. First Aid and Continuing Professional Development: First Aid qualification (or willingness to undertake training) and a commitment to own personal and continuing professional development.
