About the Role

As a General Assistant, you will play a vital role in maintaining the high standards of our properties. Your responsibilities will include ensuring rooms are clean to the highest standard, maintaining public areas, and reporting any damages or issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure rooms are clean and tidy, paying attention to detail to meet our high standards.
  • Maintain public areas, including the Terrace, and report any damages or issues to your manager.
  • Ensure car parks, driveways, and outside areas are free from debris and tidy for use.
  • Assist with general tidiness of internal areas, including the Wild Rabbit Pub.
  • Remove linen and towels from rooms and cottages after guest departure and deliver linen packs to rooms and cottages as required.
  • Deliver and collect laundry and consumable supplies from local suppliers.
  • Clear and restock fireplaces and wood supplies.
  • Perform a variety of cleaning activities, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and polishing.
  • Ensure all stock cupboards are fully stocked with necessary amenities and welcome consumables.
  • Replace and restock lightbulbs as required.
  • Complete changeover days efficiently.
  • Protect equipment and report any inadequacies to your manager.
  • Notify your manager of any damages in guest rooms or cottages or issues on the property.
  • Be proactive in assisting colleagues and having a flexible approach to work tasks.
  • Use company vehicles across the estate, including on public roads.
  • Maintain company vehicles on a daily basis, including cleaning, refuelling, and daily safety checks.
