Role Overview:
As a Bodyshop Prepper, you will be an integral part of a skilled bodyshop team, dedicated to delivering vehicles that meet the highest standards for our clientele. You will operate under the guidance of the supervisor and Bodyshop Manager, ensuring quality and precision in every task.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Prepare vehicles for painting, which includes:
- Masking
- Priming
- Sanding
- Cleaning panels
2. Ensure all prepared panels are free from defects.
3. Provide support in various areas of the workshop as needed.
4. Assist in training junior team members.
Qualifications:
To excel in the role of Bodyshop Prepper, you should possess:
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar position within a bodyshop.
- A valid UK Driving Licence held for at least 1 year.
- A willingness to mentor junior cosmetic technicians and share your expertise.
Personal Attributes:
You should have a passion for the automotive industry and take pride in your work, consistently aiming for the highest standards set by customers. The ability to work both independently and collaboratively on vehicles is essential, along with the capacity to make informed decisions when necessary. Attention to detail is crucial for success in this role.
