Job Title: Senior Analyst- Chemistry

Campden BRI is a leading organization in the food and drink industry, ensuring the safety and quality of products for consumers worldwide. Our Analytical Services Teams provide a range of analytical chemistry testing services to support the industry.

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Analyst to join our Metals and Minerals Team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for delivering robust and efficient analytical services, ensuring the provision of relevant and cost-effective services to the food and allied industries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the operation and effective utilization of resources and facilities within the team.
  • Perform technical operations required within a specific process and/or laboratory area, providing practical assistance to colleagues by supporting and/or partaking in the preparation, analysis, and testing of test items, instruments, and samples.
  • Design and develop methodology using ICP, HPLC, or LCMS for a range of analysis for food and drink when required.
  • Respond to client enquiries relating to testing within the group.
  • Conduct work complying with all relevant policies, rules, methods, procedures, and instructions, or in accordance with specific and agreed project, study, or work plans.
Requirements:
  • Degree or equivalent experience in the field of analytical science.
  • Good knowledge of food science and technology.
  • Good understanding and experience of ICP-MS/OES, HPLC, or LCMS appropriate to the investigation of issues relevant to the food and allied industries.
  • Experience as a test signatory under an ISO17025 quality management system.
  • Flexibility to work on multiple tasks and manage priorities.
  • Well-developed communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proven effectiveness in managing timely and cost-effective delivery of technical services/research outputs.
