Employment Type: Full Time, Permanent

Key Responsibilities

As a Lead Mechanical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in managing a variety of mechanical engineering projects, primarily focusing on large-scale pumping stations. Your expertise will contribute significantly to the successful delivery of complex engineering solutions.

Your daily tasks will include:

  • Conducting hydraulic calculations for pumping systems and selecting appropriate pumps.
  • Designing pumping systems and stations, including pipework and valve configurations.
  • Creating equipment specifications and datasheets based on process requirements and P&IDs for various treatment systems.
  • Reviewing and providing input on P&IDs.
  • Participating in HAZOP meetings to ensure safety and compliance.

Candidate Profile

This position is ideal for individuals who possess:

  • Chartered membership in a relevant professional institution (e.g., CEng MICE).
  • Several years of post-qualification experience in mechanical engineering.
  • Specific experience in the water sector, particularly with pumping stations.
