About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Building Services Design Engineer (Mechanical) to join our Building Design Team at Lancashire County Council. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and project managing projects for new and replacement heating plant, heating systems, hot and cold water, gas, ventilation and air conditioning systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and project manage projects for new and replacement building services systems
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects within budget and to a high standard
  • Develop and implement innovative solutions to reduce carbon emissions and improve building efficiency
  • Provide technical expertise and support to the Mechanical Project Manager
  • Contribute to the development of the Building Design Team's technical applications and management of project budgets
Requirements
  • Relevant experience in building services design and project management
  • Strong technical knowledge of building services systems and decarbonisation technologies
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of current guidelines, standards and regulations
