We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Children's Worker to join our team at Coventry City Council. As a key member of our Children's Residential Home team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to children and young people in our care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide daily care and support to children and young people, including personal care and daily routines.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with children and young people, based on mutual respect, trust, and open communication.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and young people.
  • Support children and young people to develop their independence skills and achieve their full potential.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individual care plans, ensuring that the needs of each child and young person are met.
Requirements
  • Experience of working with children and young people, particularly those with additional needs.
  • Knowledge of relationships and their impact on children and young people in care.
  • Ability to work holistically, considering the physical, emotional, and social needs of each child and young person.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, young people, and colleagues.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and training, to ensure that you have the skills and knowledge required to provide high-quality care and support.
