Job Title: SACS Structural Engineer

Wood is seeking a talented Structural SACS Analyst to join their team and support them with a new Offshore Wind project.

About the Role

This is a Senior/Lead/Principal role that involves modeling and analyzing the global converter platform structure using SACS. The ideal candidate will have extensive SACS experience and be able to apply engineering principles to solve challenging problems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality structural engineering using SACS
  • Work effectively within a small team to achieve project goals
  • Apply engineering principles to solve complex problems
  • Design offshore platforms for oil & gas or offshore wind industries
Requirements
  • Degree in Mechanical/Civil/Structural/Design Engineering or similar
  • Experience of delivering high-quality structural engineering using SACS
  • Ability to apply engineering principles to solve challenging problems
  • Background in the design of offshore platforms for oil & gas or offshore wind industries
Advantages
  • Experience of plated steel structures
  • Experience of Eurocode 3 (EN and DNV-RP-C201)
  • Experience of performing hand calculations and designs for input to SACS model
  • Offshore Wind Foundation design practices and developments
  • Offshore wind regulations, codes of practice, and design standards
  • Ideal candidate will be a Chartered Engineer or progressing towards charted status
