A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Workshop & On-Site Engineer to join our established team at Tracy Kenny - Recruiter. Our client, a successful design & engineering business based in the Peterborough area, is looking for a skilled professional to work on the assembly, modification, refurbishment, and testing of new and used equipment.
Key Responsibilities:- Assemble capital equipment with precision engineering and attention to detail.
- Service, maintain, modify, refurbish, and test equipment with competence and efficiency.
- Maintain spares and project parts stock levels.
- Liaise with management and office staff daily to prepare and review work plans.
- Communicate with customers professionally, ensuring a high level of customer service.
- Ensure all Health and Safety standards are adhered to.
- Experience in a relevant engineering discipline - preferably time-served.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Attention to detail is key, along with a positive attitude and flexible approach to work.
- Full clean driving license required for site attendance.
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, increasing by one day per year until reaching 30 days.
- 4% employer's pension contribution.
- Mobile phone and private health insurance after successful probation period.
- Free cold and hot drinks, uniform, and safety boots provided.
- Use of company van for customer visits.
- All expenses paid up front by the business.
Salary: GBP 28,000 - GBP 36,000 DOE to start
