Higher Scientific Officer - Biobanking and Digital Pathology

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Higher Scientific Officer to join our team at The Institute of Cancer Research. As a key member of our Integrative Cancer Epidemiology team, you will be responsible for leading the management of biological specimens and digital pathology processes for a large-scale prospective cohort study.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with pathologists, data scientists, and research administrators to ensure seamless integration of biological specimens and digital pathology processes.
  • Develop and implement efficient workflows for specimen management and digital pathology processes.
  • Work closely with the Generations Study Team in Sutton and the Pathology Core Facility at the Royal Marsden Hospital in Chelsea to ensure effective collaboration and communication.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to research teams on specimen management and digital pathology processes.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Biomedical Sciences, Histopathology, Molecular Biology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in specimen management and digital pathology processes.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
