Senior Design Manager

We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Design Manager to join our Construction team in Southampton. As a key member of our Design team, you'll play a crucial role in supporting projects across various sectors, including Commercial, Public Sector, and Health.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and deliver design information in accordance with the agreed design programme and deliverable schedule.
  • Ensure our appointed design consultants meet their obligations, reviewing returns to ensure compliance with standards and brief.
  • Provide design input at both preconstruction and construction stages of projects.
  • Develop and maintain design programmes, scopes, responsibility matrices, appointments, and schedules.
  • Attend and chair necessary meetings and workshops with internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in delivering high-value, complex design work from a main contractor's perspective.
  • Ability to organize, plan, programme, and manage workloads effectively.
  • Experience with site/contract procedures is advantageous.
