About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Enforcement Officer to join our team at Merje. As an Enforcement Officer, you will play a crucial role in recovering debts on behalf of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Visit debtors' properties to arrange payment of outstanding debts.
  • Set up and agree repayment arrangements with debtors.
  • Assist debtors in completing questionnaires and gathering necessary information.
  • Take control of goods when required and remove them when necessary.
  • Make enquiries with neighbours if debtors have moved or left a property.
  • Compile short reports about visits and complete necessary paperwork.
  • Assess debtor vulnerability and signpost them to support services when required.
  • Liaise with office-based colleagues regarding active cases.
  • Work independently, often in different geographical areas each day.
  • Handle cash payments when required.
