Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Room Leader to join our team at Bright Horizons Rose Cottage Day Nursery and Preschool. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for leading, mentoring, and inspiring a team to deliver exceptional care and education to our children.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of early years professionals to provide high-quality care and education to children aged 0-5 years.
  • Develop and implement engaging and stimulating learning environments that promote child development and meet individual needs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and other professionals to ensure seamless communication and support for children's learning and well-being.
  • Ensure the nursery maintains a safe, happy, and healthy environment for children, staff, and visitors.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures that promote child welfare, protection, and safeguarding.

Requirements

  • Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification.
  • Previous experience working in an early years setting, ideally as a Room Leader, Nursery Nurse, or Early Years Educator.
  • Sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage and relevant legislation.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and wider legislative requirements for working with children.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and strong working relationships with colleagues and parents.
