Teaching Assistant Opportunity in North London

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate teaching assistant to join our team at a highly regarded special educational needs (SEN) school in North London.

As a teaching assistant at this school, you will work closely with students of all ages who have autistic spectrum disorder (ASD) and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.

The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to provide academic support, promote a positive classroom culture, and implement behaviour management strategies to maintain a safe learning environment.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Supporting students with ASD and SEMH needs, including those who are non-verbal
  • Providing one-on-one or small group academic support
  • Promoting a positive and inclusive classroom culture
  • Implementing behaviour management strategies
  • Using positive reinforcement techniques to encourage focus and engagement
